Resuscitation, or cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), is a combination of chest compressions and rescue breaths. Resuscitation doubles a victim's chances of survival. During the courses the trainees learn how to deal adequately and effectively with cases of shock.
 
Target group:
Employees from different backgrounds. In fact every employee, irrespective of training or experience, can enrol in the resuscitation courses.
 
Course content:
-           Disturbance of vital functions and loss of consciousness
-           Checking the level of a casualty's consciousness
-           Placing the casualty in the recovery position
-           Respiratory disturbances
-           Endangered and blocked respiration
-           Absent or insufficient breathing
-           Cardiac arrest
-           Checking consciousness and blood circulation
-           Calling in expert help
-           Clinical or biological death
-           Resuscitation
-           Causes of cessation of blood circulation
 
Course leaders:
All our courses are taught by qualified instructors.
 
Course material:
The course material is provided by Paraat Brandbeveiliging BV.
 
Duration of the courses:
8 hours (1 day or two half days)
 
Number of participants:
The number of participants is determined by mutual agreement.
 
Exam:
At the end of the course the participants will have to take a test.
 
Certificate:
After passing the test the participants will be issued with a certificate of the Dutch 'Oranje Kruis' ('Orange Cross').
 
Start of the courses:
It is possible to start the courses on a monthly basis.
 
Course fees:
Paraat Brandbeveiliging BV will provide free information on the course fees.
 
Course location:
The course location will be determined by mutual agreement.
